According to the direction of the Politburo and the Government, Vietnam needs to order 150 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to immunize 75% of the population of Vietnam. Joining the spirit of solidarity of all Vietnamese people and wishing to accompany the Government in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, Hanwha Life Vietnam has donated VND1 billion to Vietnam Covid-19 Vaccine Fund, proudly contributing a small part to the overall efforts of the whole country to control the epidemic and bring life back to normal.
In addition, Hanwha Life also established the fund “Hanwha Life – Companion To Protect” with the capital of up to VND2 billion as a special support package to protect the core salesforce against the risk of Covid-19 infection.
Sharing about this, Mr. Im Dong Jun, CEO cum Chairman of Member Council of Hanwha Life Vietnam, said: “This action affirms Hanwha Life Vietnam's commitment as an insurance company to contribute to the stability of Vietnam amid the complicated epidemic situation. This meaningful and practical contribution demonstrates Hanwha Life’s responsibility to the community as a part of the long-term dedication. At the same time, Hanwha Life Vietnam always upholds the spirit of cooperating with the authorities to overcome the pandemic together.”
This is the continuity of the corporate activities conducted by Hanwha Life Vietnam to support the Vietnamese government and people to prevent and respond to COVID-19 since 2020. To date, Hanwha Life Vietnam has sponsored nearly VND4.8 billion for activities such as donating nearly 9,000 medical protective outfts to the Departments of Health in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh cities and some provinces in the central region; provided 3,257 health insurance cards, 175 blood units, hand-washing sanitizers, masks and 1,000 gifts to children affected by COVID-19 epidemic.
As well as making a positive contribution to the prevention of COVID-19, over one decade of operations in Vietnam, Hanwha Life has spent over VND30 billion on building schools, health centers, charitable houses and implementing other goodwill programs. In December 2015, Hanwha Life Vietnam received the "Social Responsibility" award by the Korean Consulate General, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. In 2018, Hanwha Life Vietnam was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in recognition of the company's contribution to the construction and protection of the city.
